A team of dedicated Antiguan police officers has launched a crucial mission to provide aid to neighboring islands that have been severely impacted by the destructive forces of Hurricane Beryl.

The team set out from Antigua at approximately 9 a.m. on Tuesday and is headed towards Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, both of which have experienced substantial devastation following the hurricane’s passage on Monday.

The officers are being transported on two separate coast guard vessels, one originating from Barbados and the other from St. Vincent. The departure of the team was attended by the Police Commissioner of Antigua and Barbuda, alongside other high-ranking officers, who came to bid farewell to their colleagues as they departed on this vital mission.

In their efforts to assist with the disaster response, the Antiguan officers will be involved in a range of critical tasks, including maintaining law and order, participating in search and rescue operations, and providing support for the distribution of essential supplies.

These dedicated officers are ready to provide crucial assistance to these affected islands during their time of need.
