PM Browne Attends 47th Regular Meeting Virtually

Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister is attending the 47th Regular Meeting in Guyana but virtually.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, Prime Minister Browne will participate online, he tells Antigua.news

Foreign Affairs Minister E.P Chet Greene however is there.

The meeting’s agenda includes discussions on agri-food systems, prioritizing food and nutrition security, climate change, sustainable development, foreign policy, and the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), along with engagement with social partners.

The impact of Hurricane Beryl on the region will also be a topic of discussion.

Furthermore, the meeting aims to focus on the operationalization of the Multilateral Air Services Agreement (MASA), which aims to establish a single market for air transport services within the Community.

The heads of government will review progress toward the objectives of achieving full free movement and a 25 percent reduction in food imports by 2025. Additionally, there will be discussions on the Strategy for Regional Digital Resilience 2025-2030.
