PRESS STATEMENT

On behalf of the Leadership, Executive, and Membership of the United Progressive Party, Political Leader the Hon. Jamale Pringle extends sincere condolences to the family of fallen brother Corthwright Marshall, who finished his course yesterday, August 3.

Brother Corty, as he was affectionately called, was an ever-faithful soldier in the fight to redeem Antigua and Barbuda, and the Party mourns the loss of this great intellectual and patriot.

He crafted excellent policies for the UPP in Opposition; rendered distinguished service to the country during our tenure in Government; and last represented the Party on the 2018 election slate in his beloved St. Mary’s South community.

His contributions to the constituency, the Party, and the Nation were valued, valuable, and enduring – especially as they were made at great  sacrifice to him and his family.

The United Progressive Party remains grateful for Brother Corty’s decades of loyal, principled, and selfless service and to his family for allowing him to contribute as significantly as he did.

May his soul sleep  in eternal peace.
