The Nigerian airline, Air Peace, has partnered with the government of Antigua and Barbuda to establish LIAT 2020.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced that Air Peace will soon commence regular commercial flights to Antigua and Barbuda, possibly by the end of this year or no later than the first quarter of 2025.
Browne expressed gratitude for this partnership and emphasized that the collaboration aims to go beyond LIAT 2020 by facilitating regular flights from Nigeria to V.C. Bird International Airport (VCBIA).
These flights will also benefit LIAT 2020 as the airline will transport passengers to other Caribbean destinations, with VCBIA serving as the hub for Air Peace.
The partnership seeks to boost tourism in Antigua and Barbuda by facilitating the travel of Nigerian tourists.
Browne assured that measures have been put in place to address past issues and ensure the smooth arrival of high-end tourists from Nigeria.

Air peace this name sound interesting hoping that we feel at peace when we bored this plane 😂
Mr. PM, the last time you told us that we were getting high-end tourists from Nigeria, we ended up getting young Africans seeking to get to America and Canada by coming through Antigua with connecting flights or getaway boats to their destinations. I pray 🙏 that we do not get a dose of repeat medicine.
If you all knew how such initiatives would benefit the country you would look to the brighter side. While lots of opportunities awaits us in Africa we are turning to UK and to US where our money has no real value. Yet we say we are smart but can’t see the value of Africa and our roots. What a shame. How did we get there?
Please when is the exact date will AIR PEACE start flying to ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA this year 2025?
