Two Men Remain Hospitalized Following Gun Fire Exchange with Police

Clinton Oliver and Kouna Joseph, two of three men injured in gunfire exchanged with the police, remain hospitalized.

The men received gunshot wounds during the confrontation with lawmen. The two surviving men are in stable condition with indications suggesting they are likely to recover.

Jamar Smith, the third man has died. The incident occurred following a suspected armed robbery at a Parham superette on Thursday afternoon.

After the alleged robbery, police patrols were put on alert and later intercepted the suspects in a silver Toyota Mark-X in Ebenezer.

The suspects allegedly fired at the police, who then returned fire. A gun, a modified flare gun, and other items were recovered from the scene.

The armed robbery at the Parham store is part of a series of armed robberies targeting small businesses across Antigua.
