Three Robbery Suspects Shot by Police remain hospitalized and Under Tight Security

Three robbery suspects who were shot by police in Antigua and Barbuda remain hospitalized. Last week, police shot Clinton Oliver, 31, Kouna Joseph, 18, and 28-year-old Jamar Smith.

Smith died, but Oliver and Joseph survived.

The incident occurred in Ebenezer while the police were responding to a report of a robbery at a superette in Parham.

Additionally, yesterday the police also shot a 20-year-old man from Green Bay. He remains hospitalized and under police guard following an alleged robbery.

The incident took place around 1:45 pm on Thursday, August 22, at the Pillar Rock Beach area. It is alleged that the armed suspect robbed a family of several electronic items and cash while they were at the beach.

A report was made to the police, and during the process of apprehending the suspect, he shot at the police. In response, the police returned fire, shooting him in the hand.
