Vigil postponed for slain teen girl

A new date will be set for the candle vigil for Fort Road teenager Achazia James.

James’ death sent shockwaves through the nation as her body was found on August 18 on Runaway Beach with multiple chop wounds becoming the country’s 10th homicide victim.

A vigil was scheduled for September 7 for the Princess Margaret School student but due to safety reasons has been forced to be rescheduled.

The vigil would have began at the Fort James corner starting at 5 p.m. to the Fort Road Football field.

A new date has not been given.
