Jamal Pringle, the Leader of the United Progressive Party, suspects an election is on the horizon in Antigua and Barbuda.
His suspicions stem from what he perceives as a campaign of misinformation being disseminated by the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party.
According to Pringle, the ABLP and its leader, Gaston Browne, have been using the media to propagate information, discredit the UPP, and sow political instability.
“I realize the propaganda is real at this point, which signals to me that an election is pending. So, if the ABLP can destabilize the UPP, it is a win for them. So they will do any and everything to destabilize the UPP so they can be victorious. The only way they can win the next election is if there is no UPP,” he said

Elections in Antigua and Barbuda are constitutionally due in 2028.
