From the pitches of Antigua to cricket’s grand stage, Your presence, Sir Richie, transcended age, You led with calm, with style, with grace,
In cricket’s book, you etched your place.

Under that broad-brimmed hat, so cool, so true, You faced the fire, the world watching you, When fast balls came, you stood your ground, A warrior’s heart in every pound.

Captain, mentor, legend, and friend, Your leadership made the game transcend, You took the West Indies to higher height, A beacon of hope, a Caribbean light.

But more than runs, and centuries grand, You were a humble, noble man, Respected on field, adored oH too,
A gentleman in all you’d do.

The youth today still chant your name, Inspired by your passion, your love for the game, For Richie, you showed us what could be, With hard work, heart, and dignity.

So as we pay tribute, we stand and say, You gave us pride in every way,
