Ten-year-old Nia Hill is preparing to make history as she travels to Beijing, China, to represent Antigua and Barbuda in the upcoming International Bridge Competition.

This event, scheduled for October 21, tests language proficiency and cultural knowledge on young people.

Nia, a gifted linguist and enthusiastic ambassador for her homeland, has dedicated significant time to perfecting her Mandarin skills and deepening her understanding of Chinese culture.

Her hard work and dedication have earned her a spot among over 100 students from around the world who will showcase their talents at this competition.

In an interview with state media, the young prodigy expressed her determination and national pride, stating, “I feel proud and I hope to come back with the first gold medal.”

The International Bridge Competition in Beijing celebrates linguistic skill and cultural exchange, bringing together young contestants from across the globe.
