Steve Pablo Francis.

St. Johnston’s Village resident Alfred Delice has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter in the 2021 killing of fellow villager Steve Pablo Francis.

Delice was initially accused of murdering Francis during a July 14, 2021 altercation on a local playing field.

Authorities say the two men were engaged in a heated argument over a female when the incident occurred around 8:45 PM.

According to the police, Delice armed himself with a screwdriver and used it to fatally stab Francis in the neck.

Delice had denied the allegation when arraigned in 2023 but this week he admitted to the lesser offense of manslaughter on the basis of provocation.

He is scheduled for sentencing on December 6.

  2. Talk about killing two birds with one stone. He took a life and lost his life. Ones dead, one in jail and the young lady is still out here living her best life. Walking may sound a little like being a chicken. But that is the best option to every thing right now. Cause your dreams and everything could just be shattered by standing up there.

  3. why take a man’s life for a young lady that’s just going to move on to someone else. Now neither of you will have her.
