New reports have surfaced that the incident at Pigotts Mall last night was a wounding.
According to reports, on the evening of November 30, 2024, at approximately 7:10 PM, a resident of Cassada Gardens reported an assault that resulted in a wound over his left eye.
The incident took place at Piggotts Mall, located at the intersection of Market and Redcliff Street.
Upon arrival, police officers spoke with the victim, who provided details regarding the attack.
He explained that the assailant, a young man whose identity remains unknown to him, is known to frequent the Piggotts Mall and has a history of creating disturbances in the area.
The victim stated that he approached the young man in an attempt to persuade him to leave the premises due to his disruptive behavior.
During this confrontation, the young man became aggressive and armed himself with a stone, which he then used to strike the victim.
The force of the impact caused a visible wound above the victim’s left eye, prompting concerns for his health and safety.
Following the incident, police are actively searching for the suspect, described as a young male who is familiar to local patrons of the mall.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are encouraging any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward to aid in the apprehension of the individual responsible for this violent act.
Eye witnesses say a knife was involved in the brawl.
