Air traffic controllers travel to Spain on radar training

1 March 2025 - 18:48

A group of eight Air Traffic controllers traveled to Spain on Friday on a 10 weeks RADAR training.

This is in preparation for the commissioning of RADAR services in Antigua early next year.

The overall aim is to improve the Air Services Traffic Department and to foster a safe flying environment.

The upcoming training is crucial amid the recent surge in aviation accidents and incidents.

The team departing for trading are Eugene Silcott, Natasha Mussington, Torsha Watts, Shari Matthew, Gladwin Payne, Gareth Nathaniel, Ariel Christian and Shemore Martin.
