VIDEO: Hurst Says Government Lockout by Ryan Group Was Too “Harsh”

20 March 2025 - 16:06

Lionel Max Hurst, Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Minister, expressed concerns over the Ryan Group of Companies’ decision to lock out the government from a rented building due to unpaid rent.

Hurst described the action as “harsh,” highlighting the ongoing dispute between the two parties.

The Ryan Group has claimed that the government owes them over $8 million in back rent.

However, Hurst challenged this figure, suggesting it may be exaggerated. He also pointed out that the Ryan Group itself has outstanding taxes owed to the government, introducing a complex dynamic to the situation.

Adding to the discussion, Hurst noted that the owner of the Ryan Group, Ryan, is not known to be experiencing financial difficulties, which raises questions about the harshness of the lockout decision.

  10. Hurst is NOT speaking on behalf of the government. No way Gaston could agree with that statement. PM Browne has many buildings on rent. APUA…State INsurance and all those we dont know about….Jolly Habour…So if everyone decide to renege on their payments you think he wouldnt raise hell?? And MAX wicked to suggest that because Paul Ryan and his generation has money they don’t need it
