An immigration officer has been ordered to pay a fine after pleading guilty to multiple cannabis-related charges, while charges against his sister were dismissed.

Tishidi McCoy entered a guilty plea to charges of possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis plants, and cultivation of cannabis. The court imposed a fine of $3,377, which must be paid within 30 days. If Mc Coy fails to pay the fine by the deadline, he will face 90 days imprisonment.

He was initially charged alongside his sister Danielle Emanuel, an attorney who resides at the same address as McCoy. However, Emanuel maintained her innocence by pleading not guilty.

The prosecution subsequently offered no further evidence against her, resulting in the dismissal of her charges.

  2. They need to either legalize weed or stop wasting court time over small amounts. Let people grow a plant in peace.
