A tragic accident occurred this morning at the Booby Alley Housing project in Point, where a Chinese national lost his life after being electrocuted on site.

The incident took place shortly after 9 am while the workers were erecting a scaffold that inadvertently made contact with overhead power lines.

Emergency Medical Services quickly responded to the scene and transported the two men to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment.

Sadly, one of the workers succumbed to his injuries approximately two hours after arriving at the hospital. The other worker, who was also electrocuted, is currently receiving medical care and is reported to be in stable condition.
