STRATCOM MEDIA RELEASE
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — April 26, 2025
The Police Administration wishes to remind the general public that investigations into the tragic death of 9-year-old Chantel Crump are still actively ongoing.
A postmortem examination was conducted by the Pathology Department on April 4, 2025; however, the findings have indicated that the cause of death remains inconclusive. As part of the continuing investigation, samples were collected and are currently being prepared for advanced forensic analysis and toxicology testing.
The public is respectfully urged to remain patient and allow the investigation to take its due course in the interest of justice. It is essential to highlight that this matter is now sub judice, and as such, individuals are strongly advised to refrain from making public statements or speculative commentary that could potentially interfere with the legal process.
The Police Administration remains resolute in its commitment to ensuring that all investigative procedures are carried out thoroughly and professionally.
Meanwhile, the public is asked to fully cooperate with the police and to be mindful of the sensitive nature of the case, while showing compassion and respect to the grieving family of young Chantel Crump during this most difficult time.
Ok police. We shall remain silent till we remember this matter again in 10 yrs time. By this time the 20 yo might be 2-3 yrs dead in prison. And no one would be able to find the files.
Isn’t the above the norm ? Tears, tears.
So if antigua.news did not put out a story on the matter police would remain hush hush? Check the date the autopsy was conducted. Well be careful they won’t try to shut down antigua.news for bringing us the truth that nobody wants to hear about. The news on the death of that Jamaican dude at the prison was so top notch. Then here comes chantel. Usually when media houses reports like this…they become a target. In the mean time and in between time continue to remain committed to bringing information to the people of antigua and barbuda. Keep up the fight. Justice for chantel. Justice for Manny. Justice for Bruce Greenway. Justice for chinlee.
Well I mean, clearly Antigua.News is running behind this case more that the police choose to. I mean, they released a video before the police released a statement. I don’t think that information would’ve come from anyone but the parents…. Maybe the staffs at Antigua.News should be the one investigating this case. Cause they faster than even the government…..
The police are not working hard enough with this case. Justice for Chantel
#justice for chantel! We need to start get on like the guyanese but we too punky as a nation. We just dont care enough about anything. Look at when the old man got rag up, what come out of that?
Someone has died, and all now you’re still talking about “inconclusive” results. What’s the point of having a pathology department if, up to now, you can’t give a clear answer? If I were the parents, I would take this to the very end, because God knows some shady business is going on.
Just look at what happened with the 11-year-old in Guyana, see what police and people in power are capable of? People, open your eyes. These officials are nothing but blood-sucking vampires. They don’t care about anyone, they just care about protecting themselves. After this release from police I expect to see Antigua in chaos.
The burial of this child will never take place if they don’t declare what killed jet. What nonsense anansi story is that? So Thursday a media house publish a story and police decide to come and do damage control? We don’t want to hear from you all
Chantel is gone, that’s the heartbreaking fact. The person in custody led authorities to her body, another undeniable fact. That alone establishes responsibility. Case closed. It’s time to move forward with the trial and deliver the appropriate punishment. At this point, the specific cause of death is secondary. what matters is justice for Chantel.
So the authorities have been sitting on this inconclusive nonsense for some time. Now they’re trying to do damage control because they look bad. This does not pass the sniff test. If I were Chantel’s parents I would be in contact with Scotland Yard right now. An attorney or someone with a heart needs to assist them in doing so because the authorities here clearly cannot be trusted.
So how do you prove murder in a situation like this.. she could have died from fright. How do you prove murder???
A man slammed into a woman while crossing the street. The autopsy said she died of a heart attack. Apparently when she saw the vehicle coming straight at her, her heart stopped and she died second before the impact. Soooooo the driver went free. Because she died before yhe impact of the vehicle. The law is set up in such a way that I wonr be surprised is that Spanish woman in jail walks home to her man again. But I guarantee…it will be worse that Guyana in hell
I really dont understand how this can be inconclusive. Is either she died from this or that so what killed her?
