Two Jamaican women, Mikaela Selena Jacas (28) and Toshema Tana Lee Steer (31), are set to be deported after pleading guilty to prostitution charges in the Freeport Magistrate’s Court in the Bahamas.

They were arrested by immigration officers on April 30. During their court appearance, they expressed remorse for their actions and sought leniency.

However, Magistrate LaQuay Laing emphasized the seriousness of their offenses before imposing fines of US$500 each, with a warning of six months in prison if unpaid.

Once their fines are settled or sentences completed, they will be handed over to immigration for deportation.
