Gareth Walker of Ottos has been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison in connection with firearm-related offences.
The 44-year-old was formally charged with the unlawful possession of one .45 pistol and the unlawful possession of five (5) rounds of matching ammunition.
Last week, the police issued a wanted bulletin for Walker. He later surrendered himself to the police at the Police Headquarters on American Road, shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9.
He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Wason on Tuesday and was remanded into custody until May 19. The charges are linked to an incident that occurred on Friars Hill Road on March 20, 2025 during a traffic check.
The question is why run when you know you going eventually give yourself up??
My question is,Is the country safe enough to not carry a defense weapon?
Unlike most he turned in himself I would believe he’d get lower charges

Wason could never call a case straight forward always another date just to keep another man under containment.
They should make an example of him no carrying of guns in the country we have enough going on

It always does baffle me because those rapists will more than likely repeat the same offense when they get out of jail and the public would not have been aware who it was
I guess he pleaded not guilty hence his remand status
