Public Servant Accused of Obstructing Shipment of Aggregate; PM Says Enough is Enough

A public servant tasked with authorizing the clearance of goods into the country has been criticized for allegedly trying to impede the shipment of sand and stones from Montserrat.

This incident has raised concerns about internal resistance within the public sector, particularly regarding ongoing development efforts in Antigua and Barbuda.

Prime Minister Browne addressed the situation, expressing his concern about individuals within the public service who appear to be working against the advancements aimed at enhancing infrastructure and development in the nation.

He said this person will be fired if they persist in their actions.

  1. Too many chances given is the problem here. Some people think it’s fun to take advantage of kindness until you lower the boom. Then all of a sudden they’re victims.

    • There’s a whole bunch of them who think the public service belong to them and their mother. Hardly want to even answer anyone when they come for services. Don’t even want to answer the phones. I agree with you PM Browne. 100%

  3. GASTON GASTON. Politics and Antigua doesn’t revolve around you sir. You’re just moving people around to do what? You’re the only one tarnishing anyone here. Instead of moving people around and firing people, go find the US$10mil from the Alfa Nero
