All-rounder Rahkeem ‘Jimbo’ Cornwall will be joining the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons ahead of the 2025 Caribbean Premier League season.
The Antiguan and Leeward Islands cricketer announced his move during an appearance on the Good Morning Jojo sports show. Cornwall previously played for the Barbados Royals in the 2024 tournament.
“Things were finalized a couple of months ago when my agent called me and told me that the Falcons want me to trade. I didn’t even think about it, I just said yeah, I want to come home. Playing with Barbados, they make you feel you’re welcomed there and in St Lucia it was the same thing.
“I played with the Antigua Hawksbills once and I got an opportunity to comeback home and represent the Falcons and I think it is the right time to do so, to come back home and help out the franchise,” he said.
This year’s Republic Bank CPL is set to run from August 14 through September 21, with matches taking place across six Caribbean territories: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Trinidad & Tobago.
Cornwall’s addition to the Falcons roster brings local talent to the Antiguan franchise as they prepare for the upcoming season.
