Police Constable Trevor Giddings is reported to be in stable condition after being shot multiple times while investigating a report of masked gunmen in the Potters Village.

The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 AM, when, according to reports, Giddings received information about suspicious individuals. Upon responding to the scene, he confronted at least two masked men.

Unfortunately, the suspects opened fire as they attempted to flee from the officer.

During the exchange, Constable Giddings sustained four gunshot wounds, with both of his thighs being hit.

The gunmen managed to escape on foot, prompting a manhunt in the vicinity.

Authorities are in the process of gathering further evidence and witness testimony to aid in the investigation.

As of now, Constable Giddings is receiving medical treatment and is said to be in stable condition at a local hospital.

The police department has urged anyone with information regarding the suspects to come forward.

Community members are also in shock following this violent occurrence, expressing their support for the injured officer and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement.

The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
