The Ministry of Works has announced the initiation of crucial road repair and construction projects in the St. Paul constituency, an area long plagued by deteriorating roads.
Works Minister Maria Browne, accompanied by Member of Parliament E.P. Chet Greene, recently toured the constituency to assess firsthand the pressing need for improvements. The visit covered key locations, including Cobbs Cross, Piccadilly, and Liberta, where the urgency for roadwork was clearly evident.
In addition to addressing the roads, the ministers also took time to inspect the Cobbs Cross clinic, which is nearing completion and requires only minor finishing touches before its official opening. Minister Browne instructed engineer Telly Cornelius to expedite the remaining work to ensure the clinic opens as scheduled.
MP Greene expressed his anticipation for the clinic’s opening in June, emphasizing its importance as a commitment he made to the residents of Cobbs Cross and nearby areas during his campaign.
This initiative signals a much-needed investment in infrastructure that aims to enhance the quality of life for residents in the St. Paul constituency.
Lights, Camera, Action🎬 oh sorry thought we were staging a movie
Promise that may never come through. It’s a government thing
Please fix All Saints road first. Its in need of some serious attention
and on the mean time, all saints road from town all the way up is suffering
Haven’t even fixed road works on main roads you in chet constituency?
All roads are equally important. All Saints Road must wait its turn. Public Works is being more proactive than some of the MPs.
And her community roads are failing apart like breaking rocks
If wishes were horses…
Oh well………It great to see Ministry of Works taking action on the pressing issue of road conditions in the St. Paul constituency. Deteriorating roads in Antigua and Barbuda is a challenge for residents, affecting daily commutes and access to services. Minister Maria Browne and MP E.P. Chet Greene’s hands-on approach demonstrates their commitment to addressing these concerns. The tour of areas like Cobbs Cross, Piccadilly, and Liberta shows that they are listening to the community and prioritizing the necessary improvements. I am not a labourite. I am a realist. These road repair and construction projects will undoubtedly enhance the quality of life for everyone in the area and contribute to safer travel. Looking forward to seeing the positive changes!
