Chantel Crump’s Alleged Killer to Appear in Court Today

Angela Mejia will make her 2nd appearance in court

Angela Mejia, the young woman charged with the murder of nine-year-old Chantel Crump, will make her second appearance in court today, Wednesday.

Mejia, who remains unrepresented, reiterated her need for legal counsel during her first appearance in March.

The high-profile case has garnered widespread attention and stirred significant emotion across the nation, following the tragic and untimely death of Chantel.

This appearance follows significant developments since Mejia’s initial court date, where she was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison.

The murder charge stems from allegations that on March 12, the same day Chantel was abducted in Gray’s Farm, she was involved in the child’s disappearance.

The young girl was reported missing after being seen getting into a silver Honda car near her home, waving goodbye to her friends.

Tragically, her body was discovered days later, with reports indicating that Mejia guided police to the location where it was found.

  3. So Angela has a legal outcast as her lawyer. She did a crime and still boldface. And someone has the gull to stand in her defense to say what? To try to prevent her from being to sentenced to death? Ok then

    • You might have a case where this girl serves a small sentence. because the evidence to Chantel’s death is still not conclusive!

  7. Police presence at Magistrates Court right now. For what reason is she coming to court when she already killed the girl. Why is she being a spectacle? Angela shouldn’t even be allowed to leave the prison until she is sentenced
