PM Gaston Browne Reacts: “Fully Vindicated” After U.S. Court Ruling

Prime Minister Gaston Browne feels fully vindicated following the recent decision by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The court quashed all subpoenas issued against him, his family, senior Government officials, and several private companies at the request of Yulia Guryeva-Motlokhov, the daughter of a sanctioned Russian national linked to the super-yacht Alfa Nero.

In a detailed Memorandum Opinion and Order, Judge Jesse M. Furman found that the applicant “failed to meet the statutory requirements for relief” under 28 U.S.C. § 1782.

“Today’s decision is complete vindication. The Court has confirmed that these subpoenas were never justified. We will always defend the integrity of our institutions and the good name of those who serve them.”

The Court took several actions: it quashed the subpoenas in their entirety, vacated its earlier ex parte order authorizing them, and ordered the applicant’s counsel to arrange the prompt destruction of any previously produced materials.

This ruling reinforces the Government’s assertion that the application was baseless, lacked legal grounding, and served no legitimate purpose.

The prime minister has always maintained that it was merely an attempt to harass the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and its officials through unfounded allegations.

  5. Deuteronomy 22:1-4

If you see someone’s sheep, cattle or boat straying, do not ignore it, but take it into safe keeping. If you do not know who the owner is, take care of it until he comes looking for his lost possession. You are not to keep it or sell it , but hand it over to its rightful owner.

To those who make laws to steal the possession of the helpless, Isaiah chapter 10 might be helpful in bringing about a change of mind in those who would be interested in averting the woe that follows such acts.

  6. Yes, “A moral perspective” has a point here.

Whatever We PUT OUT will ALWAYS RETURN To US …….. A Universal Law.

…… Please Take The TIME to Read BETWEEN The Lines of The Court Document (about 10 pages long) ….. which States that the court squash all subpoenas issued against…….

…….. The FUTURE Holds The ANSWER …… ONLY God has CONTROL of THE FUTURE ………
