Constable Travon Giddings, who was shot multiple times during an incident on May 26, had one of his legs amputated a few days ago. He is currently recovering at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center while authorities continue their search for the suspects involved.

The shooting occurred after 1:30 a.m. at a nightclub on Potter’s Main Road, where Constable Giddings was responding to a report.

The officer sustained injuries to both legs, among other wounds.

The police have described the suspects as armed and dangerous, urging them to surrender at the nearest police station without delay.
Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance.

If anyone witnessed the incident or has any information that might aid in the investigation, they are encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914.

Alternatively, tips can be submitted anonymously through Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477). All information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Constable Giddings’ recovery journey will be long and challenging, both physically and emotionally.

  7. They need to be captured and get the same fate. Sometimes we do need an eye for an eye cause that is wickedness. Thank God the officer is still here with us today cause it could have been worst and they would have been hunting for murderers instead of attempted murderers. Wicked people
