Darwin Telemaque, General Manager of the Antigua Port Authority
In a unanimous decision,Darwin Telemaque, General Manager of the Antigua Port Authority, was re-elected Chairman of the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC) during the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Curacao.
Telemaque was re-elected unopposed, a testament to the confidence the members of PMAC have in his leadership abilities and vision for the regional port sector.
This new term will last for the next three years, ensuring that Antigua and Barbuda will continue its prominent role in guiding the development and modernization of ports across the Caribbean.
The PMAC plays a crucial role in collaborating on best practices, enhancing operational efficiencies, and addressing challenges within the region’s port infrastructure.
Under Telemaque’s leadership, the association aims to strengthen partnerships among member ports and promote sustainable growth in the maritime industry.
Telemaque expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in navigating future challenges in the sector.
His re-election is seen as a significant achievement for Antigua and Barbuda, reinforcing the nation’s leadership within the Caribbean maritime community.
Why is he being re-elected? What, no one else qualified to bring new improvements to the ports? So much young qualified people out there—why not giving them a chance and see what they can bring to the development of the ports.
