Following further assessment, the APUA Water Business Unit will proceed with replacing the pipeline along Independence Avenue between Long Street and High Street.

Emergency repair work has been rescheduled to begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. this evening. To facilitate the work, this section of the roadway will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic.

APUA thanks the public for their continued patience and understanding as we work to improve the reliability of our water infrastructure.

  2. This is a smart move by APUA. Replacing instead of endlessly repairing shows forward thinking. Let’s just hope the execution matches the promise. People in the affected communities have endured enough disruptions, it’s time for real, lasting solutions to our water woes.
