Minister of Works Maria Browne publicly acknowledged the efforts of key persons via a Facebook post earlier this week, thanking those involved in the execution of the projects.

“Thanks to our hardworking Director of Works, Mr. Collis King and Team for addressing this issue,” Minister Browne wrote. “Special thanks to Mr. Lewis and his Team at the concrete plant who have been batching and pouring constantly over the past several days.”

The Minister emphasized that the success of these projects is the result of close collaboration among various departments within the Ministry of Works. She noted that continued cooperation and coordination are central to delivering lasting improvements to the country’s road network.

The Ministry is expected to provide further updates as works progress in the coming weeks.

  4. Patching roads doesn’t make sense. Why not just fix over the whole road. Patching roads an then the rain fall and the hole gets back there. Thanks for widening that bridge tho

  6. Sugar caking potholes in roads is not a lasting measure. Tearing out and fixing them properly is a much smarter financially since they will need less frequent maintenance over the years. Do the job right so money, time, and other resources are not wasted. Kudos though on getting the road infrastructure rebuilding started Minister Browne 👏.

  7. I wonder if by next election they will finally fix the road in Cashew. Yes, the last one that no one ever remembers. I’m not sure tapping some on the back for doing something they are supposed to do is a big deal.
