PRESS RELEASE

June 18, 2025

The APUA Water Business Unit has commenced work to upgrade and replace existing pipelines with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes between Popeshead Street and Marina Lane. These more durable and resilient pipes will enhance water quality and improve service delivery to customers.

We kindly ask all road users to proceed with caution in the area and remain alert for traffic disruptions during the course of the works.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to serve you better.

  6. Another section of road being dug up, huh? George Street is going to be a bit chaotic with that single lane. While it’s always annoying, replacing old pipes with more durable ones is crucial for reliable water. So, I guess we just have to grin and bear the traffic for a bit. Hope this ‘upgrade’ actually works and we don’t see them digging it up again next month!
