Unanswered Questions Surrounding the Tragic Death of Chantel Crump

Dear Editor,

The tragic case of 9-year-old Chantel Crump, who was gruesomely murdered, has left a community in shock and mourning. Police and community members alike have been searching for answers and justice, yet many concerning questions remain unanswered. Why has there been such silence surrounding this heinous crime?

Chantel Crump was reported missing before her lifeless body was discovered. The details surrounding her abduction and murder are harrowing, evoking deep sorrow and outrage among the public. Yet, an unsettling silence seems to encase the investigation, raising concerns about the effectiveness of the ongoing inquiries and the well-being of those involved, including Chantel’s grieving family.

One critical figure in this case is Simbad, the owner of the vehicle allegedly involved in Chantel’s abduction. Has there been any accountability, or has he simply slipped under the radar? The authorities have not made any significant disclosures about his whereabouts, nor have they publicly addressed the status of the vehicle implicated. It raises eyebrows as to why this piece of evidence is not still secured at police headquarters, where it can be thoroughly examined for any further leads or useful information. The manner in which this case has unfolded casts doubts on the commitment to resolve it, leaving many to wonder if all efforts are being exhausted to seek justice for Chantel.

Equally troubling is the silence from Chantel’s parents. They are faced with unimaginable grief, but their apparent lack of communication raises questions. Are they receiving financial incentives to remain silent? Has the agony of their loss intertwined with deals to prevent them from speaking out? These suspicions only fuel the community’s desire for transparency in a case so horrific that it should never be allowed to fade from public consciousness.
The circumstances of Chantel’s murder cannot be swept under the rug. Community members, activists, and concerned citizens must collectively demand accountability and clarity from law enforcement regarding the progress of the investigation. It is vital that investigators remain steadfast in their pursuit of justice, ensuring that they do not allow this tragedy to be forgotten amid a sea of similar cases.

As we reflect on this heart-wrenching murder, it is essential to acknowledge that real people are at the center of this narrative. Chantel was a child, one whose life was tragically cut short. Her story should not only be a case number in a police report but a reminder of the urgency needed in these investigations. It is the responsibility of everyone to uphold her memory by seeking justice, advocating for change, and ensuring that no parent has to endure silence in their darkest hour.

Ultimately, the community must unite to demand answers. Chantel deserves to have her story told with the respect it warrants her memory should not be silenced. The time has come for definitive action, accountability, and appropriate responses in the face of such devastating loss. We cannot allow this case to fade into obscurity; it is imperative that we carry forward the fight for justice in memory of Chantel Crump.

  1. I’m afraid that this case may be washed a waste or all government is going to let go and fail not only the family but Chantel.

  3. I support you 💯, N. James. It is becoming more and more obvious that tge authorities and their influences have decided to call it a day on the Chantel Crump murder investigation. Government and Opposition seem to arrived at unholy truce to sweep tge entire matter under the rug!
WHO IS SINBAD? WHERE IS SINBAD? Is alleged that he is the aged sugar-daddy of the young Hispanic woman, aged 22, charged with the murder of this 9-year old child. It is also alleged that that he has close ties, familial even, with the leadership of the UPP scoundrels. The author asked the key question on his/her letter to the editor! Where (the hell) is SINBAD???? Does de Jezebel know???? As for that hastily appointed not-ready-yet Police Commissioner appointed clandestinely on the heels of the sudden departure of the sitting Commissioner of Police, the one who passionately pleaded with the angry mob claiming to “feel your pain”, “I too am from the ghetto…. “, followed by silence. From the PM, ” the Government will cover all costs incurred in the funeral and burial of this child……” From the parents, nada! They received their fifteen minutes of fame; that’s enough. From the BMW, the motor mouth activist, nothing! From the so-called representative of the constituency, Richard Lewis, nada!
So then People, if the Government and the Police hierarchy have decided to join dirty hands in corruption with the UPP, and the parents have been rendered mute, please DO NOT NOT LET THE MURDER OF CHANTEL CRUMP GO FOR NOUGHT! Irrespective of your political persuasion, this child DESERVES JUSTICE!
    JUSTICE FOR CHANTEL CRUMP NOW!!!

  4. The silence is indeed deafening!!!! Is the parents ‘ affiliation with that ABLP a reason for the stony silence of the UPP and its representative loser-lewis at the Government’s actions of deliberately dropping the ball in this heinous murder of a nine-year-old child? Is the highly suspicious involvement of the UPP connected SINBAD a reason for the UPP Police hierachy failing to pursue justice on behalf if this child? Is Gaston Browne so indebted on a personal level to members of the UPP that he would agree to this drop-the-ball approach to the deliverance of HUSTICE for CHANTEL CRUMP?
The public needs to keep the Government, the Police the Opposition UPP in the crosshairs! THEY ARE ALL IN COLLUSION to have this case dismissed! De Jezebel, Where is SINBAD. WHY HAS HE NOT BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED? MR. PM, SAME QUESTION!!!!

  5. I’m so tired of how everything in this country ends up being about politics. A little girl was murdered. *A CHILD* . Instead of focusing on justice and accountability, it’s turned into political ping-pong blaming one party, shielding another, stirring up conspiracy.

    What about Chantel?
What about her family’s pain or their right to grieve without being judged or accused of being “paid off” because they’ve chosen silence?

Sometimes silence isn’t guilt it’s grief. It’s trauma. It’s trying to survive what you’ll never fully heal from.

Yes, we need answers. Yes, we need justice. But justice doesn’t come from public witch hunts or political blame games. It comes from truth. From proper investigations. From empathy. From action.

Leave politics out of this. Demand justice, not drama. Chantel deserves better.

    *Still watching, still waiting* !!!
