Top Boys named in Grade 6 National Assessment

Earlier today, the 2025 Grade 6 National Assessment results was published, and it was declared that Evan Roberts of the Seventh-Day Adventist Primary School was the top performing boy for this year.

Roberts scored 375 out pf a possible 400 placing him 5th overall in the Top 100 list.

While Roberts was top performing boy overall, Mechaeil Jacob of the Mary E. Pigotts Primary School was the top public-school boy.

Jacob placed 10th overall.

The school wished him well on their social media page.

“Congratulations to all our students for successfully attaining scholarships to secondary schools.

Special congratulations to Mr. Mechaeil Jacob for placing 10th in the top 100, securing the position as top government school boy,” the post stated.

A total of 1216 students sat this years exams.

    • am I being a little old fashioned in saying this thing is getting a bit like a sports completion . If you are not in the top 100 you are somewhere else along with the pressure that goes with it

      • I think kids need to be able to enjoy being children and not feel pressured and stressed by all this competition. There will be enough stress to deal with when they are older.

      • Non the less, congratulations are still warranted for their ability to perform so well on the exams. Some raw talent, most hard work, I presume.
