In Thursday’s meeting, the Cabinet addressed the ongoing plans for the merger of Glanvilles and Pares Secondary schools. The discussion highlighted the preparations being undertaken to ensure a successful transition for students as they prepare to start the new school year in September.

Officials from both the Board of Education and the Ministry of Works have been working diligently to finalize arrangements ahead of the merger.

To support Glanvilles Secondary students transitioning to Pares Secondary, the government has approved the allocation of three pairs of regular uniforms and one dress uniform for each student.

This initiative aims to ease the adjustment period and foster a sense of belonging among the students.

  3. Why close Glanvilles at all? That school has served the community for years. Feels like we’re losing more than we’re gaining.
