Over a dozen to compete for ECAB Mr and Miss Teenage Pageant

Thirteen delegates will take to the Carnival stage over the weekend in their quest to be crowned this year’s ECAB Mr and Miss Teenage.

The delegates are William Christian (St. Joseph’s Academy), Kimora Simon (Ottos Comprehensive School), Ottezza Luke (Jennings Secondary School), Najah Monford (OCS), N’Kira George (Clare Hall Secondary School), Jahkeira Samuel (Sir Novelle Richards Academy), Emari John (Antigua Grammar School), Nikeema Dickenson (Princess Margaret School), Masa Farrell (All Saints Secondary), Temourj Swift (CHSS), Sanae James (Island Academy of Antigua), Keirra Smith (ASSS) and Tekyra Richards (Antigua Girls High School).

The students will compete in four segments, Personality & Aspiration, Interview, Talent and Formal Wear on Saturday night at the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG).

Leading up to the event, the students were involved several workshops to prep themselves not only for their on-stage performance but life skills in general.

One of which was etiquette classes at the Trade Winds Hotel earlier this month.

The class was facilitated by Ambassador, Dame Deborah- Mae Lovell and focused on key areas of personal development including emotional intelligence, positive conversation, networking, self- respect, chivalry and table etiquette.

Sir Novelle Richards Academy boasts the reigning Miss Teenage Gabrielle Hamlet while Mandela Ango Anyandjuh of St Joseph’s Academy was crowned Mr Teenage.

Hamlet claimed Best Personality and Aspiration, Best Performing Talent, Best Uniform Recreation, andBest Interview.

Anyandjuh secured Best Uniform Recreation and was also awarded the Best Video along with Kennique Thwaites of Pares Secondary.

Hamlet and Anyandjuh, who were both ruled Most Photogenic, each received $2,500 as their main prize.

The show begins at 7pm under the theme ‘Embracing the Rhythms of our Future’.

Admission is $20.
