Authorities in Antigua and Barbuda are on high alert as they hunt for a cunning fraudster who has been impersonating a well-known businessman in a brazen attempt to scam local businesses.
According to reports, the suspect contacted the Epicurean Supermarket on July 20, 2025, under the guise of Mr. Hadeed.
The individual, using several phone numbers, instructed the supermarket to top up several prepaid numbers. But the deceit didn’t stop there. This impostor also placed an unusual order for multiple platters of finger foods, cunningly assuring the supermarket that payment would be made when a driver he claimed to send would collect the order.
With the police now involved, efforts to track down the fraudster are intensifying.
The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to prevent further scams.

People who don’t work no where and want to live off of people. One day they will meet what they should! Things don’t last forever
I hope they find the person! This is madness to another level. Scamming hard earning people and never the less using someone’s name to do it.
Whether it’s a fake bank transfer, a bad check, or a promise to pay later, these impostor scams aim to get goods without legitimate payment. Vigilance is key.
The numbers that they top up should lead you to the perpetrators. Start there
That person needs to be fired. You mean you gave the topup? So Hadeed can call and request topup just so?
