Three armed men allegedly broke into the home of an 81-year-old woman Friday night, making off with cash, jewellery and electronics after threatening her at gunpoint.

The incident occurred around 11:30pm on July 25th while the elderly woman was listening to the radio in her bedroom, believing her home was secure for the night.

Reports indicate the masked intruders entered the residence and confronted the woman in her room, brandishing firearms as they demanded money.

The victim complied with the robbers’ demands, turning over her purse which contained cash. The gunmen then conducted a search of the bedroom, taking several pieces of gold jewellery and an iPhone before leaving the property.

The suspects had concealed their faces with masks during the home invasion, according to reports.

  2. Three masked gunmen targeting an elderly woman in a home invasion? This is absolutely deplorable. Our elderly citizens deserve to feel safe in their homes, not terrorized.

  5. Ages between 14 and 18 are the serial killers in Antigua nowadays and they will continue to rise because the justice system is in support of them There are no harsh penalty for them to ponder upon to decide if they should continue. Or refrain from doing.
