Nineteen-year-old Queen Ge’Eve will carry Antigua & Barbuda’s hopes into Saturday’s Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch Competition at Anguilla’s Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre, following her victory in the national calypso crown earlier last week.

The young performer’s triumph at the 2025 Antigua & Barbuda Calypso Monarch Competition marked a defining moment in local music, with judges and audiences alike praising her dynamic performances and razor-sharp abilities.

Queen Ge’Eve will take the regional stage with two compositions – ‘One Man’ and ‘Daughter Come’ – both crafted under the musical direction of celebrated producer Andrew ‘Smilus’ Dorsett from Smilus Global Media.

Saturday’s competition promises fierce rivalry as top calypso artists from throughout the Leeward Islands converge for what organizers describe as the premier showcase of Caribbean musical artistry and cultural expression in the region.
