As the clock ticks, the United States seems to be cranking the printing press into overdrive, motivated by an unusual goal: nabbing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The U.S. government has now upped the ante with a whopping $50 million reward for information that could lead to Maduro’s arrest, as announced by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday.

In a recent video posted on X, Bondi didn’t hold back, suggesting that Maduro has been playing nice with some not-so-nice characters like Tren de Aragua and the infamous Sinaloa Cartel.

This bounty increase flips the script on an earlier offer of $25 million for clues related to the Venezuelan leader.

It seems that the U.S. is not just throwing spare change into the wishing well but is instead going all in, hoping that someone will step forward with the information to put a big “Wanted” stamp on Maduro’s forehead.

  1. Trump.is using the world’s love for money to achieve Bianca goals
. May he never achieve his goals. Im sure if he looks closely and around him, he could find people with similar character.

  2. $50 million? That’s not a reward, that’s life-changing money. Someone somewhere is probably making a phone call right now.

  3. If they doubled it from $25 million to $50 million, what happens next? $100 million? At this rate, he’s going to have the highest bounty in modern history.

  4. This is just my secondary school input because I never made it past that level of education but really and truly, this sick and pathetic move by the United States reeks of political theatre dressed up as law enforcement. Offering a $50 million bounty on Nicolás Maduro is less about justice and more about flaunting Washington’s ability to meddle in another country’s sovereignty. Go mind your own damn business Trump. You grope women and kill innoncent people, Right now ICE is displacing families. Aint not country meddling in your dirty business. This latest move is sick. It sets a dangerous precedent — putting a price tag on a sitting head of state turns diplomacy into a bounty hunt, eroding any moral high ground the U.S. claims to have on matters of international law.
Instead of fostering dialogue or engaging through legitimate international judicial channels, the U.S. is effectively weaponizing its financial muscle, reducing global politics to a Wild West standoff. It’s hard to see how this move is anything more than an attempt to force regime change under the guise of justice, all while ignoring the destabilizing consequences for Venezuela’s people and the wider region.

  5. While the reward is a statement of intent from the US, it doesn’t automatically mean Maduro will be arrested. He has been indicted on charges of narco-terrorism and conspiracy to import cocaine since 2020, but he remains firmly in power in Venezuela. The real impact will likely be on his inner circle. A reward of this size could tempt someone close to him to provide information, which could be a huge internal threat to his grip on power. However, it could also be seen as an aggressive act that pushes his government further away from any kind of negotiation or political resolution.

  6. $50 million for a man who is not in exile. That cab stir up a lot of problems in a country like Venezuela. For that kind of money you would be amazed what people will do. That’s basically a bounty.. call John Wick
