A memorial service will be held in honour of Achazia James, the young Antiguan girl whose life was tragically cut short at the tender age of 15.
The service will take place on August 17th at the Restoration Ministries in Cooks Hill, where family, friends, and members of the community are expected to gather to pay their respects and celebrate her life.
Achazia was found dead on Runaway Beach by two beachgoers in the early morning of August 18th. She had multiple chop wounds to her face and other parts of her body. One of her hands was also severed.
James’s death last year shocked the nation, prompting an outpouring of grief and calls for justice. No one has been charged with her killing.
The Princess Margaret School student is remembered by loved ones as a vibrant, caring individual with a bright future ahead.

Almost a year and still no justice, a young girls life was cut short and no one has been arrested or nothing. Strongly, I know Gaston met with these two drill boys (her killers) and placed them on the good side of life. Side track the fact that she was brutally murdered. Now a mother is left in agony and pain and a family will forever mourn the lost of their loved one.
Achazia’s name will ring out until we find justice! Real true justice.
This is so tragic. And the manner of death was brutal. I really hope the police make some headway in that matter cause the family need some semblance of closure
It’s impossible to imagine the pain of losing a child in such a brutal way. A year has passed, but the wound is still fresh.
Let’s keep this up so she won’t be forgotten
