Man Stabbed as Thieves Make Off With Jesus Pendant Chain and Cash

Police are investigating a violent robbery in Villa that left a man injured and robbed of his valuables.

The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, when the victim was walking along a by-road. According to reports, two young men approached him from behind and grabbed a bag he was carrying. During the struggle, the man sustained a stab wound to his right shoulder.

Among the items stolen was a gold chain featuring a Jesus pendant, along with $600 in cash. The assailants fled the scene through a nearby by-road, and a search for suspects in the area was unsuccessful.

The victim was issued a police medical form and advised to seek medical attention. Police confirmed that several individuals have been interviewed, but no useful information has been obtained, and investigations are ongoing.

    • And what does having a gun solve? It will only lead to more gun violence and legal actions taken against you. If you feel the need to have a gun think about the other people that may also back up this claim and make Antigua a war zone.
