A new era of regional youth leadership was ushered in on Saturday as the St. Kitts National Youth Parliament Association (SKNYPA) and the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda (NYPAAB) formally signed the Eastern Caribbean Youth Parliament Network Agreement.

The signing ceremony, held at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank’s Executive Dining Room, was chaired by SKNYPA’s Immediate Past President Mauriel Knight, who reflected on the years of collaboration that paved the way for this milestone.

In their remarks, NYPAAB President Jessica Zouetr and SKNYPA President Hasani McDonald stressed the importance of a unified youth voice across the region, calling for collective and solutions-driven action to address the pressing issues facing young people.

The ceremony’s symbolic highlight came with the signing of the agreement, followed by a joint cake-cutting and celebratory toast. The evening ended with a cocktail reception where members of both associations shared experiences and built new partnerships.
