The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services are monitoring a tropical disturbance moving through the northeast Caribbean that is expected to bring unsettled conditions across Antigua and Barbuda over the next two days.
Forecasters say showers and thunderstorms are likely from Thursday evening into Saturday morning, with rainfall totals projected between 0.5 and 1 inch (12–25 mm) across most of the country. While widespread heavy rainfall is not anticipated, there remains a slight 10 percent chance of downpours exceeding 4 inches (100 mm) in localized areas.
Authorities have not issued any storm alerts but are urging residents in low-lying and flood-prone communities to remain cautious, as sudden heavy showers could still trigger localized flooding or difficult driving conditions.
The system is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the immediate future but will continue to be monitored as it tracks westward across the region.
