Meteorologists are now turning their attention to a new tropical disturbance in the Atlantic, designated AL99, which has a 50 percent chance of developing into a tropical cyclone as it heads toward the Caribbean.
Forecasters caution that while the storm is still in its early stages, it has the potential to bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and rough seas to parts of the region. Authorities are advising residents, especially those in low-lying coastal areas, to remain alert and monitor updates from their local meteorological offices.
The focus on AL99 comes as attention shifts from a previous system, AL90, which is no longer considered an immediate threat to the Caribbean.
Weather officials say it is too early to predict the exact path or intensity of AL99, but they emphasize the importance of preparedness and staying informed as conditions evolve.

50% chance of developing… hope it stays weak, but we need to be ready just in case.
Rough seas mean boat owners need to secure vessels now.
These things are just coming at us one behind the other. Hopefully neither makes landfall. Would be happy if this could be a season with absolutely no hurricane impacts on any island. We really cant take it
This is peak hurricane season, so it’s no surprise we’re seeing back-to-back disturbances.
Caribbean people cannot take another hit. Praying this never comes to past
Better stay in your lane. Hurricane season is almost over and now these people want to come with their 50% chance
