A terminally ill man admitted to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre had his mobile phone stolen while lying on his deathbed, hospital sources have confirmed.
The patient, who was suffering from cancer, relied on the device to remain in contact with family members and friends during his final days.
Relatives say the theft occurred while the man was admitted to the ward, leaving them deeply distressed at what they describe as a “heartless act.”
The circumstances under which the phone was taken remain unclear.
Family members expressed disappointment, noting that the device was their loved one’s main link to the outside world as his health rapidly declined.

It is so sad. Ppl not easy.
Like really…People nah think twice and so.. oh gosh maaan!!!.. SMH
😆 but what is this? Instead of saying a prayer for the man’s soul you taking up his phone? You’re pathetic.
You stealing a phone from a dead man and expect not to see jumbbbiiee?
This is beyond heartless. In some countries they would cut your hand off or give you a good flogging, all in public
Ammmmm. The ring of a dead woman was stolen off her finger. A man who worked at the hospital had it on his finger. I say nothing else
Sad reality: some people have lost all respect for human dignity.
Straight hell for some people.
That’s is weirdness. That person wouldn’t see good at all
The man is already dead and you guys decide to steal the phone? That’s the best that could’ve been done
These mini thieves. Don’t be afraid the time will come
Shame on the thief and the Almighty will deal with him or her, but why were no family members there with the man who died?
