Terminally Ill Patient’s Phone Stolen at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre

A terminally ill man admitted to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre had his mobile phone stolen while lying on his deathbed, hospital sources have confirmed.

The patient, who was suffering from cancer, relied on the device to remain in contact with family members and friends during his final days.

Relatives say the theft occurred while the man was admitted to the ward, leaving them deeply distressed at what they describe as a “heartless act.”

The circumstances under which the phone was taken remain unclear.

Family members expressed disappointment, noting that the device was their loved one’s main link to the outside world as his health rapidly declined.
