Antigua and Barbuda’s Family Court is set to welcome a new magistrate.

Pearl Williams of Dominica will assume her judicial duties starting Monday.

Williams distinguished herself in her home country by achieving two historic firsts – becoming Dominica’s inaugural Kalinago attorney in 2010, followed by her appointment as the first indigenous person to serve as magistrate in 2016.

Williams’ substantial judicial background as crucial for handling the intricate family law cases that come before the court.
