The Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC) is preparing to host its annual Multidisciplinary Cancer Symposium on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Sandals Grande Resort & Spa.
The one-day event will bring together a panel of regional and international experts in oncology, surgery, and nutrition to share the latest research and treatment approaches in the fight against cancer. Organisers say the symposium is part of SLBMC’s ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for patients in Antigua and Barbuda and across the wider Caribbean.
The programme is designed for doctors, nurses, medical students, and other healthcare professionals, but is also open to anyone with an interest in advancing cancer care. Discussions will focus on innovative therapies, patient-centered treatment strategies, and the role of multidisciplinary teams in delivering better results.
Participants may register online via TickeTing or in person prior to the event.

Looking forward to it
October is recognized globally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so the timing is fitting.
