Lee Joshua Lesley aka Aladin
A young man named Lee Joshua Leslie or Aladin was shot and killed in Grand Bay earlier today.
Details surrounding the incident remain limited, as police have yet to release a full report. However, residents say the shooting has once again shaken the community, which has been grappling with a troubling rise in gun-related violence in recent months.
In earlier statements on the issue, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit assured the public that his government is working to stem the flow of illegal weapons into the country. He pledged that law enforcement agencies are doing all within their power to eliminate the presence of firearms and restore peace to Dominica’s communities.
Today’s killing adds to mounting concerns and highlights the urgency of the government’s efforts to tackle gun crime across the island.

Dominica need a national day of prayer like antigua. This kind of violence calls for drastic action
So many young lives are going to waste.. praying for his mother
So many young yutemen are losing their lives because of gun related violence. I can’t imagine how some parents must be feeling knowing their child was just killed like that
Everytime i see a young man dead i think about a parent who would have probably stayed up hoping he wouldn’t chose between obedience and the streets
Another young life gone too soon. How many more families have to cry before something changes?
Dominica needs a serious community effort, police, churches, parents, everyone to fight this.
Funny how most of these crimes take place in Grandbay. Help us lord
We have to stop this cycle. The violence isn’t solving anything it’s just destroying families.
Wild wild west. Here we go again
