In a gathering at the ABLP Headquarters on Nugent Avenue on Friday night, Dominica’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, addressed Dominicans residing in Antigua, emphasizing political solidarity. Skerrit stated that supporters of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) inherently support the Dominica Labour Party (DLP).
The event marked the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the DLP, drawing a lively crowd of Dominican nationals. During his speech, Skerrit highlighted significant advancements in key sectors such as education, healthcare, housing, ecotourism, and geothermal energy, showcasing the progress made under the DLP’s leadership.
He underscored the importance of continued legislative reform and called on supporters to remain united and resilient in their efforts.
“If you’re red in Antigua, you are red in Dominica. If you are red in Dominica, you are red in Antigua,” Skerrit proclaimed, stressing the shared values and principles that connect the two nations. He expressed a strong desire for opportunities to be provided to those in need, fostering hope for a brighter future.
Skerrit’s remarks reinforced the commitment of both the DLP and the ABLP to present a strong, unified front during this vital period.
The night served as a testament to the aspiration and resilience of Dominicans, both at home and abroad, showcasing their collective strength and determination for progress.
ever heard the story about jack and Jill….jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after…
Every high thing must come down. You’ve been in power for 25 years and counting, and your people are running to Antigua for employment. You’re not ashamed, sir, of course not. How could you be ashamed when you and your generation don’t even know the cost of gasoline. Your children are being driven around by police. Your wife toothbrush is made of gold. You will find out on judgement day.
Hahahahaha. These politicians are so pathetic.
And this my fellow citizens. That’s how you buy votes!!
That’s right Skerrit! RED IS BREAD!
a wonder what papa VC and George Walter does talk bout when they sitting down drinking beers and watching what going on up here hey hey hey
I am blue in Antigua and red in Dominica, so Skerrit, you needs to get his facts right. It’s not all Dominicans living in Antigua that are red in Dominica are red in Antigua.
Really good to see This comraderie between the two.
