Residents Warned After Suspicious Early Morning Encounter in Pigotts

A routine morning walk on the National Day of Prayer took an unsettling turn for two residents after a suspicious encounter with a woman in a parked vehicle near Pigotts playing field.

The incident reportedly happened around 5:10 a.m. on the Old Parham Road side of the field. According to one of the walkers, a Spanish-speaking woman inside the car repeatedly asked if she needed a ride. Despite declining several times, the woman allegedly persisted, prompting the walker to warn that she would call the police. The driver then left the area, reportedly shouting insults.

Moments later, the walkers said they saw the same vehicle again, this time near the Landing strip restaurant and bar. The woman was outside the car but quickly got back in as they approached. When the car failed to start, one of the walkers photographed the license plate for documentation.

The witness added that the woman mentioned “candy” during the exchange, a remark that raised alarm and reminded her of the tragic Chantel Crump case. She has since urged fellow residents to remain vigilant, especially when out in the early hours.

    • Met I understand does look like Candy. If that stuff is hitting our streets, we are in for more trouble.

Children we know love Candy. They will be the target market.

      That’s potentially another generation lost.

We should not take this as a” one Off “ event but a new scourge on our small society.

Let us hope that none of the above plays out.

      • won’t be surprised if this has already hit our streets. We have to be careful. Did she formally reported the matter to the police instead of taking her matter to the media?

    • Chups what foolishness… you are gonna offer big ppl candy?? You sound like a future victim

  3. What is hard to see the chain. Could it be the Spanish trying to take us out or could it be that the Spanish is working for someone. Hmm. Maybe the government officials are behind this as well
