Popular radio host and opposition politician Franz DeFreitas has announced the launch of his own radio show and what appears to be his own media venture, Ignite Media, following his reported departure from Observer Radio’s “Voice of the People” programme.
DeFreitas revealed plans for a new talk show, apparently titled “Hard Look,” in a social media post today.
This development comes after DeFreitas was reportedly removed as host of the widely-followed programme where he co-hosted alongside broadcaster Paul Quinn, who has been absent from the airwaves for several months due to serious illness and is not expected to return.
Observer Media has not issued an official statement regarding the circumstances surrounding DeFreitas’ exit from the programme. His recent absence from broadcasts had already generated considerable speculation among regular listeners and his political supporters.
With the launch of Ignite Media, DeFreitas appears positioned to maintain his influence in the local media landscape while potentially expanding his platform for political and social commentary.
The announcement of “Hard Look” indicates DeFreitas intends to continue the type of robust political discourse that characterized his previous broadcasting work, now under his own media banner.

Well Franz do what you do Best..missed your show .
Looking forward to your new show Franz. Miss hearing you on the radio.
He is too arrogant on radio
Very arrogant, loud and bullying….
Are you any better than Franz, @Truth Teller and Little Johnny? He is Franz DeFreitas all by himself so leave him alone and focus on yourself @Little Johnny. Call me arrogant because I know that I will be one of his strongest supporting listeners to his new radio shows. We need to realize that we are all different in our own ways.
Just another Nikki Phenix
CHUPPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Franz make sure you wear these short shorts to come on the show
Some might not like his style, but you can’t deny he’s passionate about the issues.
Nobody cares about Franz and his personal life
